Create Hope Designs

Funny Story. On Sunday I gave the Children's Moment during church. You know, bring the kids to the front of the church, tell them a story related to that morning's message, give them a treat and send them back. Anyway, I told the story of Joseph and the coat of many colors but told it as if I made a colorful sweater, gave it to Greg, and Doug was jealous and put him in a hole and sold him. I figured as soon as I started in on the part about me knitting a sweater, everyone would figure out where I was going - but I actually had people thinking that part of the story was true. Ha! My Grandma Gloria tried to teach me how to sew, but just like piano, it wasn't in the cards for me. BUT, if you sew, check out this awesome way to help waiting children in China:

Say Cheese!

Guess who lost their front tooth on Saturday? It was a little rough that morning though. The tooth had been hanging on by a thread for a few days. The boys went to the dentist on Thursday and she tried to get it out, but Doug said it hurt, so she stopped. She suggested we get some orajel to help numb the area and then see if he could pull it out. So we decided we would try that on Saturday morning. Doug couldn't quite pull it on his own, so we let Todd have a turn. And out it came!

Then we made it to Doug's flag football game. This picture was taken by Greg, who was playing with my camera during the game.

Greg's First Day

Greg started back to preschool this week and he was so excited! Hard to believe last year I was worried about how he would do. He had a great time last year, and this year he gave me a quick hug good-bye and ran right in and was so happy to see his friends and teachers. He has the same teachers Doug had for the 4 year old class and we LOVE them!

Family Day

We took a family day to a nearby amusement park last weekend. We all had a wonderful time! The boys really loved riding the bumper cars:

And meeting some friends:
And we rode a log ride - which had the boys' first "bigger kid hill" and they loved it! They also really wanted to go on a spinning ride, which I rode out of sheer love for Greg. He kept telling me the whole time "Mommy, this isn't scary". (Which was so cute, and actually helped take my mind off the fact that I was spinning). Being scared wasn't really the issue though, I was trying not to get sick. (I didn't).
