Fall Fun

Sorry for the lack of updates in October. Let me catch you up on some fun things we did. Here are Captain America and Mario before they headed out with the neighbors to go Trick-or-Treating:

And we went down to campus with my friend from college and her 2 kids for the Homecoming Parade. Very fun!
And last weekend we went Letterboxing. It was a blast. To letterbox, all you need is a notebook, a pen and a stamp. And it helps to have cute ranger gear (pictured) but that isn't required. Anyway, the clues are posted online and you can search by location. When you've selected the boxes you want to search for, you print out your clues and head out. The goal is to locate the box, which usually has a stamp inside. You put their stamp in your notebook and your stamp in their notebook, then package it all back up and hide it where you found it. We went 3 for 5 on our adventure (we think 2 of the boxes were missing, either that or we just didn't look hard enough). But the really fun thing about this is, most of the places are neat little parks or places to hike. So even when we didn't find the box we still had fun at the location.
