This year for Doug's party he wanted something a little smaller. So we decided to take him, his brother and 4 of his good church buddies to McDonalds and Build A Bear to celebrate. We were so glad Aunt Susan was around to help us out. We picked up the boys and loaded up the van (Todd drove them, I drove the car with Susan and Greg). We made it to McD and took orders - which turned out to be confusing until Todd entered it all into his phone. The boys ate very well and then we headed to BAB. It was really a great way to celebrate.
Here is a top 10 from the party:
10 - Susan giving the boys napkins prior to Todd bringing the food and setting the napkins nicely in front of the boys (like a little placemat) - to which they promptly ripped to bits.
9 - "I need ketchup, I need ranch sauce, where's my caramel sauce, where's my chocolate milk, I wanted apple juice, not chocolate milk......"
8 - The boys singing Hands, hands, hands, LOUDLY and way off key
7 - As heard in the van "Lightning is faster than King, Nu-uh, King is faster than Lightning"
6 - The 6 boys picking out their animals took very little time. Except for when Hank was looking at a Jonas Brothers dog. And Jonas said "I don't like the Jonas Brothers"
5 - For the party we had our own "bear employee" who helped the kids stay on the predetermined budget. It worked very well. I think in this picture she is asking who wants to buy clothes, so is showing them which animals they can pick out:
3. Greg was a super good little brother, was able to keep up with the older kids and loves the bear he made.
1. The look on Doug's face when they put him in the middle of the circle, with his friends all around, and announced (loudly) to the store and mall area that it "is Doug's 5th Birthday" and having the store/mall area sing Happy Birthday to him!

Oh what an awesome 5th birthday!!!! Looks like LOTS of fun!!!!
